Early this year, shortly after China announcing the multiple mysterious pulmonary deaths in Wuhan, China, I wrote a couple of blogs about the potential changes of a world epidemic spread of a fatal disease. At the time, little was known about this Sars disease named Covid-19. What was known is that it is exceptionally contagious, asymptomatic, and fatal in many cases. Knowing this immediately sent me to recall historical pandemics that killed thousands of people, changing the affected regions’ makeup. Life in those locations never returned to their prior status or what could be considered “normal.” I realized that will be the fortune of any affected nation.

It took weeks for the US to get momentum with the spread of C-19. Other countries set a precedent that all nations should follow. The only potential to stop this spread is by preventing it from going to places.  A forced lockdown was needed, followed by tracing. The US proved incapable of achieving that needed goal, so the next measure became clear: A mandatory proper face mask should be worn outside the home and observe social distance. We know the history and story of all that, so we reckon leadership failed to prevent massive losses of lives and stop the disease’s spread. Normal, which was no longer alive, now received the final shot, so life will change for almost everyone, and we would need to adapt to a “New Normal.” That was my topic a few times in my blogs. It was mostly ignored because by May still was believed, C-19 will no longer be a threat, and life would return as it was before. This is the middle of October, and we still are experiencing a wave of new cases and more deaths. Nevertheless, tracing is not available, and the usual way of attacking this potential threat, testing, actually has not appropriately happened or as needed. The stats of today are sad but much more that we are far, far from reaching a plateau we can call “normal.”

Normal stopped since the late 1980s when scientists discovered the massive hole in the ozone layer. Science stated that the reduction of this layer will create what we know as global warming. Global warming will change everything we know from our past and create a new reality that would be hard to cope with if we do not disappear first. Initial signs showed up but were lightly acknowledge if not altogether ignored. My favorite example of that, but not the only one, was the discovery in a region of Israel. The Jewish government hired a team of scientists to figure out why an area capable of producing large amounts of produce produced nothing.

At last, a scientist discovered that such region was bathed by a higher amount of Ultraviolet light that can be destructive to life forms. The discovery did not go anywhere. However, a coincidence joined that scientist’s work to a Ph. D. graduate’s dissertation claiming the same scenario. More massive amounts of UV light are hitting the US. The two scientists talked about it and figured that UV light is causing severe damage in several world regions. The reaction was not to set panic among the population—the end of the deal. However, “normal” could not be called that way anymore. Then the warning of Global heating came out, and so far, we have done too little to slow it down, much more to stop it.

Covid is suspected to be partly a result of global warming. No details to bore you will be noted here, but you can find plenty of info on the internet.

The vital issue in my blog is that we are not returning anywhere and continually are moving towards unknown lands. This resulted from both scenarios and others that no public talks about—air, water, ground, and food, presenting an apocalyptic scenario.

We are already in the 1st face of the new normal. What is it then? Some noticeable changes, such as the economic order, will be different, and it comes with its own series of new normal. Socially, for as long as C-19 is not entirely vanished, which may take years, social distancing and PPE may become mandatory. As well, the tracing and testing protocols will have to be renewed from time to time. The social distancing item will change almost everything we know. Large congregations of people: houses of worship, schools, factories, entertainment events, mass transportation, and just all gatherings in places not entirely free of C-19 will have to be observant of these precautionary measures. Traveling domestically and internationally will be affected too. Health facilities will suffer from changes, also as the practice of services. Most likely, food production facilities, starting from farms, to factories will have to be heavily regulated to avoid making them super-spreaders. That is just the beginning, and we will learn more as we go.

Perhaps the most essential new normal will be people’s attitudes. Many countries, including the US, had substantial numbers of people who would have to comply with the new protocols that will most likely require legal applications to enforce their compliance regardless of their reason to avoid the needed protocols. That has been the US #1 problem that did not help control the crisis but had increased the spread, numbers of deaths, and lengthening the time to maintain the spread.

These obvious measures will change several other “normals.” The use of powered vehicles most likely will be reduced, not because mass transportation becomes safe, but because of the financial impact on the working class. Employment has already been heavily affected. Although we will likely see increasing numbers of available positions, those will have to be carefully planned to secure their workers’ minimal travel. Clearly, millions of us will have to take the available job we can do, but we likely will not have many choices for that. The critical aspect is to entirely eliminate the disease.

So what about vaccines?  Cures? Both will be available at some point, but there will not be a silver bullet, but a lengthy improvement of both will require lots of time. Although cases are in the millions, asymptomatic people may be spreading the disease, and the numbers can escalate to a billion or more. We just don’t know, and we cannot disqualify anything until we know for sure. However, that is on the disease side. Suppose we do not curve global warming effects. In that case, we will be under a severe threat. not just by what we already know, extremely higher temps – lower temps, rising waters, increased and more massive natural disasters, etc. but other effects such as an increasing number of other infectious diseases. All resulted from our changing environment. More Sars diseases are prone to show up.

Clearly, the most dramatic new normal is that we have to assess our lifestyle, likes, preferences, etc. We have to adapt accordingly. Not doing it will increase the severity and frequency of all threats, and many may sum-up together wiping entire regions and numbers of lives. What is essential now is to abandon the idea of returning to the normal we knew before.

Everything in politics or public opinion has been a matter of debate, controversy, and arguing way before my ancestors were born. However, in the past, no so old, the only means of public information were large organs that redundantly checked the information to be released to make it bulletproof reliable. Even during my early days working for TV and written press, my editor expected me to triple check the facts I was about to inform. Otherwise, the work would be tossed in the garbage can. In the recent decade or two, that seems to be changing.

The 21st century was expected to be a drastic improvement to everything known or a tragic end to everything—the half-full or empty cup story. However, we started the century on the wrong foot. After G. Bush Jr took over the White House, we were shocked by the callous attack of Al Qaeda in NY city, destroying the twin towers and killing close to 3k people + the people affected by the toxic debris when clearing the fallen buildings. Then, investigations from the UK and our own intelligence opened the door to accusations against Saddam Hussein about being involved in some category with Al Qaeda’s leader, Bin o laden. The UN got involved, and according to the media reports, Hussein was developing WMDs, including a potential atomic bomb. Saddam was challenged over and over, and no find would justify any military action from the US and allies. However, both countries claimed to have reliable intelligence proving Saddam was a threat to the world because his arsenal and facilities to build chemical weapons were “real.” Bush somehow persuaded our legislators and the American people that we should preemptively attack Iraq to dispose of those weapons. Bush claimed before national television we will destroy the evil, and the attack will be successful, short, and our troops will return shortly after. You know the rest, here is the critical point.

The US attacked without justification Iraq which was the balancing force in the Middle East, destroyed literally everything in a fantastic bomb attack the seemed coming from a Sci-Fi movie. We still are there, with thousands of soldiers even exposed to be killed and the country, well, regardless of the promise a reconstruction effort, it still is in shams. Electrical power, water supply, bad roads, lacking enough health installations, and a constant battle between ethnic groups are their calamity.

That was the beginning of the 21st century, but it did not improve since that beginning. We had a disastrous presidential reaction to the destruction of hurricane Katrine in Louisiana, and we faced the second potential worst depression after the Grand Depression. The following president (Obama) inherited such a bad situation that he should better become seriously ill and quit winning the presidency. However, he did not resign. He faced everything. He found an opposition that would not change their mode, and negotiating anything was a real pain in the ass. However, he produced essential changes and saved the country from falling into pieces that resulted from the mortgage bubble burst. Eight years later, he brought to the US to what other presidents failed to deliver and left the economy rolling upwards. Trump inherited that situation.

After almost four years after Trump as our leader, looking in every direction, we find no results the leader claims to be his contribution to a better America. In fact, those years seem to be a remembrance of much older days in which all the defended civil rights provided by our constitution have been stepped on or did not exist because his position is, and has been to declare war against everything he hates. Mainly everything coming from the Obama administration. He’s got a lot to hate but not only recently. Since his early years, Trump appeared “wearing a mask.” People near him did not see it, and he ripped off hundreds of small businesses, the IRS, people involved in his activities, became known as a misogynistic man surrounded by the most beautiful women of the world, etc. He showed to be proud of all of them.

Most of his hates are everything that is not Anglo Saxon derivate, hates poor people, people that know more than him, and more. Clearly, anyone with essential intelligence would notice; this man hates everything and deeply loves himself. Question: How on earth did he become the 45th US president? The jury still in on the table, but likely, we will have to move forward to fix all the broken pieces after the coming election, and he walks away as he had done many times before.

Through the years of Bush and Trump, we have heard reports claiming the US is in the best place in history, and we are moving forward. Do not give me credit when I ask: where are the proofs? Just look around and double-check the accuracy of their words, compare them to the words from the press, or the legitimate organizations that check and double-check the facts, and they become the official. There is no sector in which Trump’s words check with any side or the heart of reality. To make matters worse, his lies and deceits are so unrealistic and blunt, that he lies in front of the actual data and accuses absolutely everyone if he is caught in a lie. Very few Americans <?> have stood his lies and remain in power, but many others either were fired or removed themselves from that “influential” position coveted with treason.

He claims the press, unbiased organizations, and members of his government are against him, and all that is a witch hunt. Who are we going to believe? That depends on who is asking. The truth, checked not once, not twice, not even three times but more, a large sector of the population (44%) believe him and are convinced he is threatened by deceitful socialists and communists that will destroy the country if he does not have what it takes to get rid of them. Such requires a second term in which he claims; the falling economy can be fixed as he fixed it post Obama. Who do you believe? Therefore where do you think we are at this particular moment?

My closing remark is simple and to the point. If Trump reacted positively – as needed – after the Covid threat was confirmed, the level of infections and deaths would be drastically reduced. Likely, we still be threatened by it and would take time to end it <shorter time though>, but the numbers would be sharply lower. The economy, on the other hand, would show a whole different scenario. Now, the government should bail out at least 70% of the population that owes large amounts of money on loans, houses, cars, you name it, and are not collecting income for, how long?

The people that do not have income or a much smaller than accustomed need desperately help. In case you have not noticed, all-important goods have increased their price, creating a higher number in the inflation sector. What does that do to you and others?

To save the country in totality requires that businesses remain in business, people receive their income as pre-Covid, the cost of living does not go up and can meet their bills accordingly. Well, that is not happening. The Great Depression taught us, the #1 front to attack is to avoid the fall of the consumer, which created people’s losses of property, work, savings, etc. and became homeless and dependent on welfare. Well, welfare is dying along with the unemployed people. Meanwhile, Trump is selling a second term will fix it. A flat lie that even Biden would reckon if asked: will you return us to our status as it was in 2019, and we return to normal life – and – continue been alienated as most Americans lived pre Covid?

We are not returning to what we call normal in a long, long time. It is too late to gear in that direction. But thinking about the future or the past will not help or resolve anything. I suspect you believe the following statement and consider it reliable: Another four years of this administration as it was since 2016 up to now, will destroy what is left to us. Us, 70% of the working-class, and our lives would turn as the older days before the Great Depression if . . .

We have to be extremely careful about what we believe or not because what is at stake at this precise moment is undeniable: danger!

Through the frequent chats I have with people, locally and through the internet, I hear people throwing a statement about the world being upside down and then wonder the reason for that. I reckon the world is not as most believe it was, but I differ with this idea.

Since the inception of the industrial revolution, the world changed, not gradually, but fast and massive changes took place. Considering what it was before and it turned into, in less than a century, it is expected that the world could go in the wrong direction, and the time available to fix it was too short and shallow. Just the advent of the car and electricity changed everything the world was. Millions and millions of people of the world accepted and digested the comfort provided by the advance of technology. For instance, people in the US through generations did not travel more than twenty miles away from their homes, then they started to explore their neighbor states, and the next one, and their life became a different life. Electricity had a similar effect. Before it existed, it was “normal” to end daily activities after sundown and start after the sunrise. Not that people were not busy laboring or entertaining before and after those hours, but electricity extended to 24 hours the activity time and whatever can happen. The list grows as those two inceptions integrated newer technology.

As technology improved, just about everything in our personal and general world changed, and we went along with it. Population spread like rabbits; we accepted the enlargement of living areas, a buildup of larger homes spread, etc. (now shrinking). We consumed more of all types of resources. How much of that expansion was prepared for the negative impact? Just electricity shows a perfect example.

Electricity consumed vast amounts of coal. Coal created a considerable amount of contamination, then power plants came, and a war between suppliers of energy sources started. Solutions were designed and placed, but problems continue growing and growing. We people reacted in the very same way technology changed and changed us. Issues were “fixed,” but the number of problems increased as well the population and spread of people, the more problems appeared. The result, we have enough to worry about the consequences of that and that. A few things were addressed, but most were not and all based on the cost and revenue of whatever was in sight.

Everything started to fragment here in the US. Divisions multiplied among all sorts of differences among us, but we manage to keep our act together. Then, we have to count government actions. Among the different administrations, there were good and bad ones. Every admiration focused on one, two, or more issues, but many were untouched. Politics aimed (a promise!) to fix them, but every person representing a location wanted to be favored. With so many states wanting a piece of the cake, the cake is to be divided. Their representatives are getting a piece as well. However, some satisfaction was achieved, by any means- all problematic issues were not addressed—that increased level of the crisis, which sooner or later affected everyone.

Among the many not dealt issues of the past is racial discrimination. Slaves, blacks were liberated and theoretically were able to seek a better life on their own – whatever opportunity they could find and meld with the rest of the population. Meld with the original people that once slaved them. Injustice against blacks, Latinos, Asians, etc. continued happening. Apparently, not much focus was placed on those issues because they were considered political, and the supporters of the politicians and politics were not in agreement on how to fix that. The problem was not fixed, and it created the Civil Rights movement that as well, was fought to death, killing the leaders of that movement. Although there is a gain through the desegregation process, ethnic groups still have been victimized by those not willing or able to support the civil rights act.

That is one problem, a large one, but as I mentioned above, the spread of everything came with additional issues that needed to be addressed in a timely fashion. We were on the right track until recently, but this administration conceived an idea that many of those improvements were not at all such. Such as our intent to move towards fixing or aiding the world’s environment- that has been causing massive deaths and material losses. Expect to face more and worse natural disasters because we are behind the needed action, to at least reduce its impact.

We are, where we are because of the simple fact of cause and effect. Nothing critical we have faced since the last century is an accident. We are looking at the impact, but it seems that we are going to leave any possible action to the next administration. We were already late, we have lost four years, and it will take more time to undo, the wrong by this administration. Include into that package, the racism problem that is causing more effects to be paid in the future.

Racism, right now and ever, is wrong. However, ignoring the roots of that problem will not serve a real purpose to what is needed. Although it is undeniable that different ethnic groups are not treated as our constitution mandates, we cannot turn a blind eye to see why so many people feel antagonistic against a minority group. Not many people are willing or able to voice many of the elements that are part of this issue. Because said statements, against any of these minorities, will be seen as another form of racism. There is so much to be said about this growing problem! Although I do not support the way racism has been dealt with in the last four years, I dare to say; there is some valid basis to feel wrong about some of the people in those minority groups. Whatever can be said, requires an in-depth examination based on real, reliable facts that the other end would oppose to it. Such as members in those minorities do not behave like the rest of the population does, which is part of our protocols, and they believe their anger entitles them to act wrong – to act violently. I see this prevailing situation among Latinos, blacks, Asians, recently Arabs, etc. If you are invited to my house, you have to behave accordingly; otherwise, you are not invited. People filled with anger because injustice exists have nothing to win by acting up their sentiment. The same way our government needs to look into the parts that increase this situation, not to find an ending all solution. Those minorities must examine how they can stop what a few of their members do: pour barrels of gas to an already ignited fire – for far too long.

This is one of the too many reasons it seems the world is upside down. We are facing a lesson that we cannot ignore, and if we do, as we have done in the past, the crisis will increase, creating more damage and cynicism around all of us and the world.

The real important issue now is we must start addressing what we can – in the proper order – because the view about a screwed up world – may become a full reality – when we reach the point of no return. We have loads of issues that require immediate action, so we can have a certain future, not like the future we have now.

4th of July D.C. 2008

I wish not being capable of thinking, seeing, hearing because the result has been lately, I get overly concerned over recent events in the US. Bad news reporting makes me think bad news too.

What I see right now is a warning about the potential attacks against anybody that represents the opposite of what some section of America is expressing, the white supremacy. The battle against blacks, foreign migrants, LGBT people, Jews, and anything that supremacists want to remove from the country has started.

Right now, my sentiment has been triggered by the speech from DT at Rushmore on the 4th of July celebration. He claims he and the country are threatened by the far-left fascism, He makes it look like a direct threat to all right-wing Americans. Such is a deceit to get a granted a favor from the white population that sides with his policies. Aside from been dividing speech, it is another cueing for the white supremacists against the mentioned groups (lots of religious groups among them), and such is a direct trigger to unrest white Americans nationwide. On the other side, intelligence had reported groups of supremacists are moving to key areas to do what we know they do. Nothing pacific nor coming along with what America is about. Next to that, frequent attacks by supremacists have been reported across the nation, such as the throw of a vehicle against a group of demonstrators in Seattle. Also, a transwoman was killed a few days ago. Last night shootings in several cities took place, killing two minors.

Many of the actions taken by white supremacists do not get enough attention from the media. It will always require a courageous witness videoing the event and put in online so, the evidence is right there. Although cell taping happens, it is a rare case most of the time. A few days ago, I saw a video online of a black kid resisting arrest. Although there were two big strong officers involved and one police woman, the kid managed to make them struggle, and as a result, a plastic bag was placed in his head. In another incident, a couple threatened a black woman with their guns, and more. That speaks about the resurgence of supremacy taking action in the country and it is triggered by Trump.

In the international arena, Iran is enriching fuel for an atomic weapon. China is moving its marines to exercise in the south of the region; the US is following suit sending carriers to the area. Perhaps that is not a threat, but because DT is feuding with everyone, it is apt to consider that we are looking at a potential reaction that can trigger an international conflict.

We are in a place that most administrations have avoiding since II WW. But the concern of mine now is domestic. I suspect the actions of supremacists are just a tad of what gradually is becoming the political status of the US and that threats everyone not aligned by white nationalists. So, my advice to everyone is to keep safe and a much larger distance than social distance. This situation is seen in almost all countries, it is just a warning.

According to polls, Trump lost his chances for reelection. That can be the trigger for that sector of America to start revolting in demonstration of their opposition for not having him again at the WH. Clearly, DT will accuse the electoral process of being a fraud, so distress stars right there. Unless we are willing to allow DT to take a second term, the potential of a serious threat is impending.

Now, the core of the issue. There are no official numbers about how many citizens are part of the nationalist “movement.” However, what it makes clear is that losing the civil war by federalists did not stop the movement to oppose to ethnic minorities, LGBT, Jews, and all the groups they aim to destroy since those war days. A phenomenon that even academics fail to understand because it simply does not make any sense. However, minorities will prevail, and discontent from those people will remain. The result is clear. The US has been dimming all traces of what made us – what we were – up to the time Trump took over the WH. Human and civic rights have been threatened through the period. Since Trump has been in power. Initiatives to secure the wellbeing of people in the world and the planet have been shut down one way or another one. The UN, NATO, WHO, EPA, and most organizations that watch what threatens our future have been belittled and diminish by this administration. Ridiculously, in detriment of nationalists as well, but their frustration against the direction the country has taken since II WW has made them passive terrorists of their own land. The presence of a democrat first black president, his eight years in office, and the advent of a republican representing the exact opposite of him and his presidency, have triggered what we can see is the slow destruction of the fabric that made the USA.

I have refused to land on one side of the fence or the other one, but the circumstances present now, force me to side with one of the two sections that divide our country. I have chosen the liberal side because mistaken or not, they pursue to follow what the framers wanted as the core of what this new nation should be. The same aim and goal that have created our place before the world and history. All my thinking and feeling draws me to become part of the many Americans that can avoid the demise of our country. Exactly what nationalist claim, but in reverse order. The extreme right is doing precisely that, so we have no choice but to react equally and more robust. After all, the majority of Americans are on this side that has nothing to do with left, center, or right. It is about an entire nation that cares and protects its citizens against all threats.

Nationalists are under the belief that DT is a man that cares about an America as it should be, not as is. But the facts prove that such is not the case. He wants reelection and not for the sake of the country but to achieve his goals that are nothing less than personal and economic. Nationalists are deceived by their anguish, same that DT uses for his purposes, but once Trump is out, they will figure that their efforts were exclusively for the enriching of the Trump family and his pose. Nothing new, but this time it has become as evident as the transparency of water. I wish the US awakens and learns the truth of what is happening, and they realize that we must straighten our path, now that it is possible. Possible for as long as we are a robust and solid nation. We are one!

Division in the USA is palpable anywhere in the country. Conservatives and liberals lead this front that repercussions in several layers of the country. The position of one side compared to the other one, make the entire country look like a black and white nation. The bottom line is that there are no winners in this battle.  How could possibly be a winner when the cake is split in two?

At the moment, the largest B&W issue is the battle for racial justice and the end of brutality of law enforcement against blacks, browns, and LGBT people. In recent weeks The number of homicides against these groups has escalated. They are showing alarming signs about a damaging increase in the violence in the country.

One of the fronts in this battle is the removal of statues of federalists and racial figures. Some with historical importance because they were members of the struggle that perished more Americans than all the wars fought together. What is the aim to remove statues that were created and placed in public sites where everyone could see them, perhaps admire them? Although those figures are a thing of the past, it makes sense they are removed, possibly placed in other locations but removal is mandatory, why?

Imagine that there are statues with figures of historical people such as Hitler, Mengele, Joseph Goebbels,Heinrich Himmler, Rudolf Hess, Adolf Eichmann. Hermann Göring, etc. and anyone involved in the invasion of Europe that killed millions of innocent people because the perpetrators believe in cleansing humanity. Would you support that? Although there are different issues, different situations, the fact is that federalists wanted to split the country and were racist to the point of creating campaigns to hang, beat, burn and hurt black people in the country. I fail to see what this angst against blacks is to the point that supremacists are killing them as they did decades and a hundred years ago.

Making humanity a black and white issue does not resolve anything but hate, bigotry, lack of compassion, and plain discrimination against another human being. How little those haters know that their DNA has markers of black ancestors that were the first humans on earth. Do they hate themselves too?

What we are looking at and fighting is nothing short than plain stupidity because supremacists will never remove all the people they despise. This issue could get so ugly that browns, yellows, blacks, and anyone in the sight of supremacists get together and wipe out the supremacists. That is what war against others do!

Although this racist issue is one that has never been cleared since the days of abolition, what we see today is the result of the demagogue statements of our racist president. Perhaps his tone before was about been #1 in the public eye and benefited from that free exposure. Still, today, it is evident, he is as racist as any federalist or supremacist. This is the gift to a democratic nation that ended up placing this shady character in the number one dominant position in the world.

We are receiving the consequences of permitting the US to land where we are not by the majority’s choice. Our diplomatic status with many relevant nations of the world is at the lowest point ever. Feuding with the banana republic is one thing, but feuding with China, for instance, comes with a very high price. The cost? We are alone in the world, and any nation suffering from this cold war with China is better off by siding with China and shut the door to the US. That has been happening in these three past years. For instance, if you could hear other leaders of the world, you will hear laughter and belittling of Trump and the US because the world they know, is not even remotely close to Trump’s world. That neither helps or negatively affects all nations that have business with us. We may be the mighty economically and the greatest military power of the world, but anything that is started will have an end too. It does not take a science degree to see that domestically and abroad we are far from a great America. We had lost many steps to tackle as they were needed in 2016. Steps that before placed us as the leaders of the world. To achieve that place in history, the US needed the support and consent of our allies. Today, the allies we can count on are the ones that count their currency and check how many US dollars they have, perhaps getting rid of them before they face massive losses. OK, this is a blatant exaggeration, and in November, we will have the chance to change the path. But nothing is going to give back what we already lost throughout these past four years, while we do not remove the black and white issue that is tarnishing us and destroying what we supposed to be about. Are we ready to give up our place in the world? If so, who do you chose to take over?

Alienation is the culprit of what we are looking for now. For as long as we are so removed from the truths that are present, facts that can be certified legitimate, we will remain doomed and suffer the consequences.

We are on time to gradually start fixing what is broken. But for as long the supremacists keep doing their thing, the situation will continue to creep the living lights of us. How could we possibly get rid of them? We do not need to. They are as US citizens as we are, and they are entitled to be who they chose, and no one is entitled to try to change them as they are not entitled to try to change us. The way to deal with that is the same principle that allows them to be hateful and discriminatory. But we do not have to act like them. What we have at our disposal is to show the strength of the opposition against them is. We are more, we are more conscious, and by simply pushing them to stay in their chosen side, they will reckon that this battle of them, is a no winning battle. Then, they may become quiet. But as well, we have to remove every single trace of what represents them, so no one will be remembered that we are not a black and white issue. But we are a multicolor nation that brought the country to what no so long ago was, and we need to reach, again and again. Participate if you are on the side of freedom, compassion, and integration of every single US citizen. So we do what we need and do not have to think about bringing America to what already is. A great nation, even as is now. Instead, we aim to make America a stable nation, because we are a robust nation and have plentiful to grant to all that they deserve. A chance to live in freedom, opportunity, harmony and peace.

NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has trained its razor-sharp eye on one of the universe’s most stately and photogenic galaxies, the Sombrero galaxy, Messier 104 (M104). The galaxy’s hallmark is a brilliant white, bulbous core encircled by the thick dust lanes comprising the spiral structure of the galaxy. As seen from Earth, the galaxy is tilted nearly edge-on. We view it from just six degrees north of its equatorial plane. This brilliant galaxy was named the Sombrero because of its resemblance to the broad rim and high-topped Mexican hat. At a relatively bright magnitude of +8, M104 is just beyond the limit of naked-eye visibility and is easily seen through small telescopes. The Sombrero lies at the southern edge of the rich Virgo cluster of galaxies and is one of the most massive objects in that group, equivalent to 800 billion suns. The galaxy is 50,000 light-years across and is located 30 million light-years from Earth.

History books, from the legislative annals to the academic recordings, explain how the USA has moved forward by creating and enforcing laws that comply with our constitution, international laws, and civic and humans rights. The USA has created a model that many countries want to follow. Such as the creation of a democratic system that seeks for everyone in that nation. We have that system, we exercise it, and through time it has improved. The USA has gradually bettering many of the aspects that enhance the quality of life, defends the rights of everyone, and develops the mechanisms to have a level of equality that makes the country more productive and harmonious. We still are behind reaching a better state that transparently shows we are the example that others wish to conquer.

We have moved back and forth in the direction that our framers envisioned. However, this is the first time in US history that a regime blatantly erodes many of those gains achieved or in progress. The “justification’ to that is simple and clear. This president is aware of the discontent of a large number of Americans that want to reverse many issues in that direction. Perhaps the #1 is in a relation of the migratory situation of ours that has not been resolved through many decades. Probably the chunkiest “fix” before was when Republican Donald Reagan passed an amnesty gift towards illegal foreigners living for long in the US and abide by our laws.

Today we have a contrary scenario. Although there is reason to feel angst because of the millions of illegal immigrants in the US (not just Latinos), the US, the only option is to sit at the table of negotiations, to arrive at a compromise in both ends, and pass the needed legislation. Politics have not allowed that, and mostly because on one side, observing our constitution should be the denominator. At the same time, on the other hand, to hell with it and simply get rid of non-Anglo Saxon descendants. Such will never work and attempts by Trump showcasing his abuse of power, the Supreme Court invalidated no one, not two but a few unconstitutional mandates of his. This is just a speck of the many issues that detriment our constitution and create a bizarre view, A wish of some Americans, A small number of ultra-conservative Americans.

Trump has been banking on creating a momentum that secures him a second term. All built on that premise of challenging immigration, China, North Korea, Afghanistan, and any country that is bargaining millions of dollars from us, so they comply with our demands, but they not. The effect has been such a clear and strong divide that the US is looking like a Neo-Nazi nation, ready to enact that sentiment I mentioned. However, the constitution weights much more than Trump’s mandates, even if such decision comes from a nominated judge by him. There is no way around, but if an SC judge support and passes any of Trump’s acts, a new order will be kicked in, and such would be much more toxic than Trump’s actions.

As is, the way all is looking from the WH and some cabinets seem that we are under attack, but such an attack cannot come from one of us. It will have to be from an extraterrestrial being that destroys us first and takes over later.

Coronavirus has shown us how fragmented we are as a nation and as people. All looks and sounds like anarchy that theoretically may favor Trump. However, as I said before, the group of people that follows Trump is rather small, but other people are acting on their own regarding Corona. It seems to add more significant numbers to Trump’s following.

The country in the last four years is turned inside – out. The sad there is that such should exteriorize a sense of patriotic attitude in which we either join our administration or oppose it. Not just by thought, but following with actions to let our government know what we do not support or approve. If we do not arrive at common sense, or consensus, democracy is defeated, and we lose sight of what direction we are taking, therefore where we may land in the wrong place.

These past years have been as if a foreign alien is running our country, and we remain silent about it, and only exercise our right to choose who is going to be in office. Once the person is elected, we do not care anymore about what he delivers or not. Something other nations such as China exploit to their benefit, increasing the potential of engaging in dramatic episodes that disrupt the order and the desired goal.

The appalling element for me is to witness that regardless of the constant lies and manipulations from Trump, he still counts on supporters, making him assume he got a chance to a second term. This turns my suspicion on, and I fear that he got a hidden card on his sleeve and that one is that he will jinx the election. I discard that he is so ignorant, dumb, and out of touch that his mega ego makes him believe he got everything under control. Big money America may fail for the first time in so long, and hopefully, they lose the strings that allow them to keep us in the cage, so we have no chance to react and take care of the needed changes. Changes that address our constitution, civil and human rights that will better our country exponentially, at the cost of the big money-losing the grip in our present and future. They, very well, maybe the extraterrestrial beings that are exploiting our planet, and all human beings, not just greedy Americans.

The US is a vast and mighty nation. We will never be exempt from a grand crisis that seems to speak about the status of the country. Those speak about a particular time and issues that, in some measure, have improved, and some others still are pending. Ethnic racism still is an issue that seems not to have a solution, regardless of the improvements achieved. There is no question about the validity of the discontent by African American citizens. Unjustified brutality has been visually evident, the masses recognize the results, and the majority expect justice to be served. However, police brutality is not exclusive to African Americans suffering. Cases of that exist in almost every state, and most do not respond adequately because the law and order system supposed to be in charge in the social order, and they are allowed to enact force if the rule is broken. Some cases become the focus of the press, and the result is a nationwide spread of demands for that justice. For the most part, demonstrations are pacific, and their aim is to be heard and find the proper response from the local government as the federal authorities.

I find two critical elements in this situation. The number one is the lack of adequate response by our leader in chief. He should address the demonstrations in a public forum to ensure the movement does not trigger violence and destruction, and the second one, the demonstrators themselves, should stop the looters and violent people from their actions. Like the old saying: It takes two to tango.

There is a much larger issue under this crisis. The fact that the American people at large are fed up with the negative messages of the supposed leader, the constant lies that make others responsible for the mishaps of his government, and his seeking for the glorification of what he considers he should be credited for. Actions that have nothing to do with leading that large and powerful nation but the contrary. What we see today is the evidence of this lack of touch with The People, favoring the people hired by the leader, the lack of certainty of a positive future, and the threat of four more years of the same. History points this issue as the precedent presents: A leader that does not present sound results is ousted in the coming election. However, between his actions and words and the press reports, it seems that he is going to perpetuate his government. The core of this disease is that he lacks what it takes to bring the nation into a status in which the country is altogether. Something that is not going to favor him because he was elected by the Electoral College, not by The People.

What supposed to be A Great America Again is the farthest the nation has been. I spare you from the redundant reminder of what our situation is today. Still, none of his actions have fixed anything but the contrary, and it is clear he is an elitist and with dubious trust by the majority, including many of his partisan members. Add to that, the Nationalists have been triggered by him, and the Anglo Saxon reaction by the extremist is making the situation more divided, hence complicated all, and it is hard to fix it.

Academics state this regime passed to history as the worse ever. Whether that is true or not, the critical fact is that we are already into a destructive crisis (corona), and we cannot afford to add fuel to the fire. By the end of this regime, we will see a report about deep waters we are in, in many regards, and no one is to fix it but us, the taxpayers and voters.

The next elected president is going to face an ill system as Obama did. At the end of Obama’s administration, although the issues of the country were not perfect, they shined a great future. The future that the 45th administration inherited. The next regime will not only have to fix the chaos we are in, such as the humongous deficit, faulty diplomatic and trade relations with China and other countries, and the neglected issues such as affordable health and education, migratory reform, and the sharp divide we live in since 2016.

Maybe what we are to face, the historical part, the unfinished issues, the divide, the virus results, etc. are of no importance to most. Most are seeking solutions that were not served and will continue delivering their obligations <$$$> to our government, hoping that harmony and peace allow us to do so. But the significant pending aspect is that for as long as we are divided, we are serving the greedy interests of the forces that created the situation we are in. There is no other solution that the masses should demand what is right, and those should respond with actions that are transparent and visually clear. The world got enough of the abuses of monarchies, today we got plenty of the abuses of the oligarchy that does not leave room to the supporters of the nation. I wish this happens in a peaceful setting, but the farther we go, the steeper it looks.

A country belongs to the people that make the country. The rulers are just the result of the wishes of the people, and when the rulers fail to deliver what is needed and wanted, the people should act immediately. Not just to demand justice against the criminals that do not serve their oath but anyone, in front or behind of what affects the lives of everyone. Not the favored by those who imagine they are the rightful owners of the nation. That requires involvement, and for as long as such does not exist, our present and future are doomed. Who wants that? If you are against it, voice yourself by been present when needed and to represent yourself at the booth. Time is coming, and it is time to start voicing your wish.

When President Trump could not avoid the headlines around the world about Covid 19 not been an epidemic but a life-threatening pandemic virus, he responded: We have one case, everything is under control. His message aimed, according to his supporters, to release the fear and concern of the impending threat. The world and many Americans reacted against his attitude and lack of prompt action.

The US has the most substantial potential of becoming the central focus of the virus by acquiring the most significant numbers of contaminated people. Why? Because we are a large population and the international traffic the US sees every day, week, month, and year is a clear picture of what globality is today. Flights from every corner of the world come and go, and people exposed to the asymptomatic diseases could bring the infection, which spreads exponentially. Trump’s reaction was unrealistic, irresponsible, and a direct attack on the people that he supposed to protect.

Today we are the focus of the disease by large numbers. The number of cases around the world is reported to be 6 342 563 and in the US 1 870 023. Roughly around a little less than one-third of the world’s total. We have lost more than 110 000 lives, and the numbers keep growing.

We have witnessed from Trump + Covid another layer of how much he is is out of touch with the American people and the country. At this point, he is losing part of the support that allowed him to commit crime after crime, violating the constitution of the USA. GOP members are reconsidering their position, and many of the military brass is as well. It is time that all together act in a legal fashion that removes abuse from Trump and helps us to recover some trust in the party and our military machine. However, among the comments from top people in both arenas is: they have lacked the courage to represent the country and our constitution. Therefore, he has continued increasing his non-American policies that violate everything the US has stood for more than a century.

Trump’s words were presented under his unrealistic scenario, and some people believed it. The mighty USA would not suffer the flack imposed by Covid, right? I have no idea what the people that believed in him think, but the evidence, as in many other cases, is right in front of our noses.

Considering the nature of this new disease, specialists in the arena claim that it will take several months to clear the threat. That translates into more deaths, loss of jobs and income, and prolonging the crisis and anxiety that the American people are experiencing. From any angle, that is the picture that he presented early this year, but the exact opposite is the reality. If this particular issue is not clear enough for his supporters to grasp the cunning acts of his chosen ruler, not only am I clueless about the future of our country but as well, about the integrity and patriotism of too many citizens. It is clear, the power of the president of the USA is much larger than we can envision ordinarily. It is a mega power strong enough to dissuade even his counterparts of acting against the oath they made when taking office. It is like a vision that we would only see in a fiction movie. Reality is showing us that no one is safe under his ruling. It is more than challenging to understand and accept that up to date, no evidence has sufficed to remove him from office nor to stop him from acting like a kid throwing temper tantrums if he is not appreciated and worship as the person that he believes to be. His mega egotistic demeanor does not fit the picture of the president of the most powerful nation in the world. Two questions arise from this scenario. Will the USA be able to recover from this situation? Not exactly meaning to recover the lost terrain and resources but from the loss of trust that he has generated across the world and at home? The other question is, has the US learned about cunning people that aim to sit in office representing their supporters but to go against the grain of what the US is about? This is the most severe problem the US is facing. It is worse than Covid because if the US does not straighten the direction we were before when that direction was obviously not the correct one, but the need to be addressing what is imperative unless we allow our country to fall through the cracks. Any thinker would immediately state when asked that what has made the US what we were in 2016 is the consistency, dedication, and resilience that characterize the American people. Did we lose that, or what happened? We started to lose ground in 2000 when George W. Bush was chosen as the president by the Electoral College. That regime was the worse in history, but years later, we allowed a much more dubious person to take the lead of our country, and looking around presents the evidence that we have not gained anything, but the losses are massive.

Just a few months ago, the country was in the most excellent shape ever. Something that Trump takes credit for invalidating the situation that Obama faced and his initiative to fix what he inherited. He received the worse scenario the US has seen and left the country in a might good shape. The same that allowed the people around Trump to preserve such status, and we achieved greatness. Not by his grace, though, that happened because that is the path the previous administration left, and many key figures followed. A lot of those gains are lost in an “attempt” to fix what Obama and other administrations fixed. Such as trade with China. We are not by any means, even near to fix that. We are in the worse shape with China, and the fix will not be easy because China now knows that the US is capable of bullying if we do not get what we want, so they bully us instead as they “did” before because they are not going to give to us what we want, just like that. The immigration situation still is as bad and worse. Yes, Trump threw away thousands of illegal immigrants, but that is just a tad of the problem, and the entry of illegals has not been stopped, but the large groups seeking for legal asylum. Asylum that he violated by removing their constitutional rights by, what else, bullying them. The problem is not fixed. Same with the useless wall, he proposed that most likely any section erected by him will wear a grand plate stating that is his. Erected by Donald Trump, 45th US president. Copyright sign follow, of course!

Trump is not a politician; therefore, he is unable to handle politics. We are indeed fed up with politicians and politics because of the many issues that are not resolved for a long time. However, a statesman who is a politician will be able to fix that if permitted by the many other politicians we elect (read opponents). Having as our president, a person who is not a politician does not offer the solution we seek. But the elected president is a businessman several times accused by cheating the government, including the IRS. So, his power did not start at the White House, and what we got is a crook that is focused on making business but not for the benefit of the US but himself, family, and pose. We got what we got, and do not deserve. Worse, we have the potential of having another four more years of violations of the constitution, traditions, beliefs, integrity, and patriotism! That would be self-destruction = loads a wealth made for him and beneficiaries. The bottom line now is that we are in the very worst situation the US has faced in history: a destructive pandemic, a growing deficit, weakening economy, most massive unemployment ever, and more. And what put us there that has nothing to do with what his supporters want, but what the US once was, and gradually is losing it year, after year.

Perhaps this coming election will not be the perfect solution, but change towards what we believe and stand for is detrimental if we want to survive. Just like with Covid, if our president would choose to act right away and present to the world that we are the top-notch country in history, our losses would be reduced dramatically. Possibly we could now have the answer for the rest of the world to follow. After all, we are the United States of America, aren’t we? Well, the united part is the first part Donald Trump destroyed.

A division of the country started the 1861 to 1865 US civil revolution. Different goals, different aims divided the country to the point of beginning an armed battle that later became a full revolution killing more Americans than all the wars the US has been involved in history. Through its path, the revolution messed everything the US was up to that moment, and although the country recovered, the US was not the same ever again. Today, the US is not fully recovered from that revolution. Division among Americans prevail, and is notorious, and is creating severe damage for the country. Perhaps it is “interesting” that only a minority of the US population are unhappy about the actual US’s state. They want to change that existing order. They are weaponized enough to arm another social revolution. They are ready and prepared to take action. Their sentiment is as strong as the sentiment of the drivers of that past revolution. However, that seems not to have an effect in the direction that the US has sustained since those days.

The aim and wishes of the potential revolutionaries do not belong to what the US legally stands, and the established contemporary civil rights. The objective of these anguished minority seems to belong to hundreds of years of the past. It is triggered by their opposition to the minorities that populate the US. African Americans, Latinos from all regions of the south border, LGBTQ people, Jews, Asian, Middle East people, Muslims, etc. The people that called themselves “Nationalists” oppose and want to erase from the country all those groups. Their name “nationalist” has nothing to do with the protection and improvement of the nation. It is just a name that otherwise is called White Nationalists that differs nothing from old groups like the KKK.

For years this group was somehow silent. Although they have been actively acting perpetrating acts of domestic violence. Neither the press or the government nor law and order have been broadcasting the impact of their actions except in cases such as the mass killings in synagogues, Mosques, etc. Nationalists do not hide their responsibility. Have they been taken to justice? Check your memory records to see what kind of legal actions they have faced. Maybe just a few isolated cases, but not the entire scope of their activities.

The issue of unjustified violence against African Americans perpetrated by the police has been blunt, and massive if we count that there is no year with cases making it to the headlines. It is clear that among the law and order officers, many can be considered nationalists, and abuse their power committing crimes of hate. Sometimes they get away with them, and the masses respond violently too. Responses had been significant across the country, mostly repressed, and after a little while, they seem to be forgotten. However, the reactions have been increasing in activity and violence after every case.

The reaction of the demonstrators, although they can be considered justified in reality, is solving nothing, but the contrary. It seems that African American demonstrators do not know or have forgotten the peaceful aim of Dr. Luther King to achieve civil rights in favor of the black community. Nonviolence does not harm a country, does not further the split of the population, and offers better chances of finding a resolution. However, for as long as violence keeps happening, the issue will continue and grow.

Our actual president has triggered part of the level of the toxic actions of civil servants, citizens, and anyone that is frustrated by their xenophobic sentiment. His messages have been divisive, and incite the White Nationalists to act as if they are in their right, and they are right to oppose minorities through violence. The result of the demonstrations in Charlottesville VA ending in the loss of one life, and several severely dismembered, is not the first message by Trump to White Nationalists, but one of the clearest ones. There have been plenty more messages with the same result. Attempting to analyze the reason for the US president to act and speak that way is irrelevant at this point. Creating a deep level of fear, uncertainty, and division among a population is a way to undermine all values that might undermine the control from people cueing fear and concern. Clearly, Trump’s aim to rule in a monarchical way, invalidating anything and anyone that may possibly question is an abuse of authority. The US president is the most powerful position in the world, and Trump clearly has shown how powerful he is. If this is not changed soon, most likely, we will see another civil revolution.

The US stands for, and advocates across the planet social justice and rights, human rights, and the bettering of all human conditions that ruled the world in the – no so old past. Conditions inherited from the times of the European monarchies that exploited people, resources, etc. while living as divine creatures. Nothing different than what we see today among the billionaires, top millionaires, and the oligarchs of the US and the world compared to the working class. Clearly, the battle is still far from over, but this administration took a few steps back to the old days, and they are getting away with murder.

Changing the order of the 21st century is possible, but it will be challenging. However, democracy will not be a viable solution. The reason being that for as long as the beneficiaries of the democratic process are not educated well enough about their history, laws, and to discern the information provided by the mass media does not serve the needed benefit. They become lambs in a nation of wolves. And that is what we have been seen in the US throughout the last century and before that. There is no better example than when we see Donald Trump: a man with a doubtful reputation, zero experience in public administration, is not even is a well-educated person. Then he promises to bring our nation to a better place than where we were during his campaigning, now his presidency. That is not the right place, a good promise nor a god start to create a better America. The White Nationalists only saw that promise, but not by the majority. The majority most have been frustrated about many old issues of national importance that have not been changed. Such as available, affordable health to all, a decent migratory reform, a higher tax rate to the top 30% of the population while the rest of the population is supporting the entire country. Also, an extreme buildup of the armed forces that does nothing, but competing with other nations driving the budget of all those nations to the sky. There are many more issues that are unresolved, and the majority of the voters want to change.

Senator Warren sounded like a communist during her campaign. It is time to end corruption in the US and bring those needed resources to the working-class she said. She is right; what we see now is nothing different than what the Russian Czars or the French Monarchy did long ago, and caused those bloody revolutions. However, Warren promised to work all that from within the government by having a steady fist on the laws that entitle Big Wigs and corporate America to do what we know they do. Where the real power is, it is doable, and we do not have to become communists or socialists to do so. All it takes is to be socially responsible and stop the abuse of big money. Perhaps with some consequences, but any as major as facing a revolution as it is looking now.

We have a pending presidential election, and we are clueless as to how the Trump campaign will manage their position. I bet they will make the nation more divided. And it is possible Trump would scream “Fraud” when losing the election. However, it is clear the majority of the American voters got enough of him, and the world stands behind any opponent – to the worst crook – Americans have seen seating at the White House. Just check the facts, go beyond the propaganda. You may learn that a better America is possible, but not in the hands of the government, but in the hands of the American people – when learning what we need – and we act when we are required.

Ending the massive demonstrations because the homicide of George Floyd can only happen if everyone stops feeding the divide that makes this situation much larger. The president should have to keep his mouth shut, but he didn’t. The press should stop broadcasting comments, reactions, etc. that further divide the people. Not that the issue should end right there. Perhaps the next administration will do something about the divide and lack of inclusivity of several minorities. Still, Trump’s administration will do nothing about it, but to incite the masses for their own purpose. That is the prevalent issue of the year, almost making Covid look almost irrelevant. The poor management and lack of touch of the administration can use focusing on other problems instead, such as potential fraud during the election.

The reason to end the demonstrations, and is to start making sure that ethical and honest legal teams bring this issue to the proper table, so this sad homicide stops for good in the future by not letting the police ever to act – ever again – in this illegal and inhuman way. One step at the time, and we will get there. Focusing on what matters is an important issue. Erasing Covid from been a potential threat now is. To make sure we have fair presidential elections is next. The economy will heal slowly, but surely.

The Big Plunge. The instrument shows thermals are positive, then you jump for an exiting experience in the air.

This reality awakening is for the entire planet. Every single person that is challenged by the crisis resulted from Covid 19. Everyone is part of it. Some more than others, but if there is any reasonable counting, it is not about who is more or less, but the totality of the numbers. We are in grave danger!

Here in the US, there are too many items that check with that sad statement. The awakening started with a health threat that locked down millions of people against their will. Covid is a danger that seems people either ignore or did not believe it. However, when it comes to the wage’s check, no one can turn their head and blow it away.

As well, another critical check, one that has worried me a lot for more than three years, is the angry attitude of many of the people unhappy with whatever. Such as the people that push, beat, spit, etc. to those that remind them of the safety measures of social distancing and wearing a face mask. There are too many cases similar to this one that represents the anger of some citizens.

We are about to accomplish four years of a devastating divide among the American people. Another item that has kept me worried since the days of the 2016 election.

Whether the mentality of those from the right, middle or left or any other direction, caused this crisis, the critical fact here is that a nation that is so fragmented, cannot be a whole nation. It started with the advent of 2k. We had a president that wanted all good for the country, but whether he was severely influenced or not, he remained immobile for too long. The situations collapsed, creating the worse days of too many Americans. 9/11: he ignored it until the threat became real. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan that killed thousands of our young soldiers <$$$$$> and has been a total flop. Katrina: killed hundreds of Americans, mostly poor because lack of support to save them. The mortgage bubble burst: that almost brought down entire nations.

An interesting fact that many hate – therefore disregard – is that the Obama administration inherited the worse situation our country has faced. What Bush left us as his inheritance to the country. Then Trump, a man with an evident dubious reputation at all levels, who laughed at the system and the political realm, becomes elected. That is how divided we are, but as suspected by most, his actions further divide the country, he did not resolve anything, and the level of anger and dissatisfaction of more than half of the voters is at its highest. Between Covid and his lack of integrity to protect all Americans, Trump placed us in a precarious situation that ends in anger and a need to act aggressively against anyone, not in the same place. What Obama left us at the end of his eight years were recovery, faith, and hope. Where is all that now? Does not count because it came from our first African-American and democrat president

Anyone interested in US history, not just about past history, but as we go, knows that just about everything that speaks about America is in decay. What are we going to do then? Receive the message – that is a clear and eloquent answer!

What we are facing since 2016 is clear, although covered by a thick smokescreen created by Trump himself. Transparency has been erased from our country, and it goes well beyond what others can do to fix it. There is a fix, though, we are America, and we are resilient. Thank goodness we still have resources to pull it off. However, the funds are as low as they were during some of our worse times. Something that Trump has created throughout his entire life even way before running for president.

Who is going to be the savior? Indeed, we need a leader to restore our faith in us, our country, and our system. A robust fixer because some citizens want this while others want that. Bringing the country together will take almost a miracle. A miracle that can happen to start at the moment we act. The election is a regular routine for that purpose, but who ends at the white house will define how far we can go in either direction. Then our legislators have to tune in and move the strings rapidly. Without us, the taxpayers that will not run so efficiently. The easy part is complicated and painful, but we must endure whatever it faces us. We can only do that by being behind our president and legislative and taking prompt action when we see we are not moving in the needed direction. Left and right will have to hold their judgment and react based on sound results. First, to fix our economy reasonably. That means that inclusivity cannot be any longer a battle. It can only be a reality. The only way to bring America to its best is to have a joined America. Health and education should be resolved at once, giving a chance to every American to prove their worth. Immigration is urgently in need of reform. Not in favor nor against the issues we already know about. Just a fair and sensitive reform.

Taxation for the top, middle, and bottom should be parsed in a way that everyone contributes their fair share. Our political and electoral system should be changed into a system that big money cannot buy our future. Same with lobbying, it should disappear, and favors to corporations should only be granted based on merit. Greed abusing greed should be accountable, so we no longer engage in dubious business that, at some point, may burst and deplete their investors and our country. Consumers should be protected 100% from power rulers, such as insurance companies, banks, drug makers, and any organization that only cares for their benefit at the cost of the country. Religious organizations should be put in their place. Separation of the church not only means having the freedom of choice and practice but the right to handle their own businesses and not politics or how others should live their lives.

There are too many other items that need that urgent fix if we want to save most of what our country stands for. Can someone do it? Not in four years, not in eight, this is something that will take a long time to evolve.

We were there before Trump. During Trump, our nation moved from being a democratic nation to become a totalitarian monarchy. This administration has diminished everything that meant America, and we see the effects now.

It is hard to swallow profound truths, and we have one in front of our eyes. If we miss the opportunity, it merely means we are going to perish, not by Covid, not by a financial meltdown, but a perishing planet and the anger and hostilities from extreme people. Everything will come to an end if we do not act now and together, and there will be no chance for anyone. Is this where we are at now? You’ll be the judge, and if so, let’s change it before it is too late.
